SQL Server 2008 Support - coming soon?

Hello there.

Since December 2008 I've been waiting with baited breath at the "coming soon" R2 for CRM Accelerators (which includes support for SQL 2008).

I was wondering if this was still being worked on (since it's almost May)... trying to decide if we should downgrade our SQL Servers to take advantage of this work.

Looking forward to hearing back.

We are currently using the eService Accelerator against a Dynamics CRM environment running on SQL Server 2008. It is running without issue.

Yep. We are using the eService on Srv 2008 and SQL 2008 as well. The trick is to set the IIS eService website to run in 32 bit mode, and not in 64 bit as it is by default when you create the site.

Hmmm... Changing a 64 bit IIS server to 32 bit.... been there, done that, goes right sometimes, sometimes, not so good! :-)

I'm particularly interested in the Analytics pack....

Probably should have given the Svr2008/SQL 2008 x64 a miss... I am old enough to know to wait until this stuff is out for a few years... ;-)

Thanks anyway,

It not the server you should change to 32 bit. Only the site that contains the eService portal.....

Hi there - we're finishing up the QA on R2 of the Analytics Accelerator and this will be posted late April/early May.

This release will have a number of bug fixes to the R1 dashboards as well as all new SQL 2008 dashboards. We'll then press on with some cool new analytics pieces in R3.

Stay tuned! :-)

@reubenk - Any update on this? My company just started using MS CRM 4.0 on SQL 2008 and would love to get the Analytics accelerator up and running.
