eService is not sending Emails to smtp service

We're using the eService Tool in our customers CRM and are having with sending emails.

We use a smtp service to send the emails out, and the smtp service is working fine.

The Problem seems to be that the eService (or the CRM) is not sending the Emails to the smtp service. Authentification can't be the Problem - everyone is allowed to send, and DNS Problems are also not the case (connecting and ping per IP and FQDN are working).

I'm out of ideas, please help!

seems eservice portal only send email for password recovery. if this does not work, make sure the smtp settings are correct both in eservice configuration (in CRM) and the SMTP setting of the eService portal site IIS.

if the eservice workflows in CRM failed to send email, that is the CRM email settings problem. refer to CRM help/guider.

where do i find the SMTP settings in the IIS?
